Alignerr is run by Labelbox, an established venture-backed company, and it pays weekly through Stripe or PayPal. Know one thing before you apply: its [terms](https://www.alignerr.com/privacy) give it broad rights to use your recorded AI interview, including to train AI. ## Who runs Alignerr Alignerr's site is titled "Powered by Labelbox", and its terms name the company you contract with as Alignerr LLC. Labelbox is a San Francisco AI data company founded in 2018. Its help centre article "What is Alignerr" is written by Labelbox's co-founder and CEO, Manu Sharma. ## What Alignerr pays Rates are set per project. When we checked, its home page showed $80 an hour as "average pay", and live job cards showed ranges such as $20 to $50, $30 to $50 and $40 to $120 an hour. Listings change often, so check the rate on the job card before you apply. ## Who can join - **An AI interview.** Applicants complete a recorded interview. Alignerr's terms give it broad, permanent rights to use that recording and your likeness, including to train or improve AI. Read the terms before you record. - **ID check.** Alignerr asks for Persona identity verification once you are matched with a project or accepted for a job. - **Location.** Its help centre says access "is limited in certain countries" but does not list them. - **Experience.** It says it hires PhDs, researchers, subject experts and experienced professionals, but some listings say no experience is needed. People who are selected sign a separate consulting agreement, which is not public. ## How you get paid Weekly. Work from Monday to Sunday is paid by the following Friday. Your payment method depends on your country: Alignerr enables one provider per country, either Stripe or PayPal, and you cannot switch. People hired through Upwork are paid through Upwork. ## What workers complain about We found fewer dated, readable reviews for Alignerr than for the larger platforms, so we only report what we could link to. - **Interview data.** One reviewer titles their review "be careful before sharing your data", objecting to the rights Alignerr takes over interview recordings ([Glassdoor, August 2025](https://www.glassdoor.ca/Reviews/Employee-Review-Alignerr-E10042963-RVW99312493.htm)). We could not find dated individual reviews about waiting times to link, so we make no claim about how long matches take. We found no lawsuits about Alignerr. Its community rules ask workers not to discuss project details in public. ## How to apply safely Go to Alignerr's official website and apply there. Do not pay anyone to join, take a test or get tasks, and ignore offers that arrive through personal chat apps. If someone contacts you claiming to recruit for Alignerr, check that the email comes from the company's own domain before replying.
